And a few videos for you:

And this one.. which is exactly what we are talking about in Science too.. so it will transition us into your science lesson for today :)

Science:

So, we've been talking about Habitats - Yesterday you had a video to watch and a Brain pop video to watch. If you did not do that, please go to the post below and do that first!

Today you are going to fill in the second page of your Habitats and Communities Booklet. Please watch the video below first and see my example:

Remember to attach your own picture to the Google Classroom assignment if you are not completing it on the Kami App. Ask your parents to check their email or the How-To section for how to help you upload if you aren't using the Kami App!

LANGUAGE:

1. Day 3 of Reading Comprehension - Posted on Google Classroom

2. Words Their Way - Speed Sort!

Most of you know how to do this, using the words from yesterday, you now need to race yourself THREE times! Use a timer or watch to time yourself and make sure you put the words in the right category. So that I know you've done this, please send me your FASTEST time on Google Hangouts or in an email!

3. Read for 20 minutes: Your choice, Raz Kids, Epic, or a book

4. Keep working on your final copy of your If You Give A ____ a ______ Stories.

I will post the FlipGrid tomorrow to allow you to share your story.

BUT FIRST: Please look over your final product and ask yourself:

  • Is this my best quality work?
  • Am I happy with my final product?
  • Should I add some more detail in my drawings and maybe color neater?

MATH:

We've had 2 people pass levels on XtraMath in the last 2 days... way to go!

1. Practice XtraMath - All the way to the end

2. Practice at least 20 minutes on Prodigy or Study Ladder

3. Keep working on your Subtraction Booklet - The Topic 2 section is due on Friday - Please check the blog post on Monday for the subtraction Slides to support your understanding.

OPTIONAL MATH: What's My Number? - Click Here - This one is a riddle - it has a bunch of different parts and your number has to match ALL of them!

SOCIAL STUDIES:

8 out of 22 of you have posted your Flipgrid on Games - Where are the rest of you? If you need help with Flipgrid please send me or one of your classmates a message!

Check Google Classroom --> Classwork --> Social Studies --> for the instructions on how to complete this!

And a special shoutout to those of you who have completed it by now! I am giving you some points on Class Dojo for homework completion!

EARTH DAY EXTRA:

I have a cool assignment that you can do for Earth Day today involving CODING YOUR OWN GOOGLE LOGO!! Sounds cool hey! Watch the video below on how to access this lesson. It's okay if you cannot code, you could draw one as well!

We can share our Earth Day outfits, Google logos (drawn or coded), and how we are saving the environment on Flipgrid too.
