Heya 4A!! I checked out our reading minutes - we are up to 6256 minutes - Can we make it to 9000 by June 10th... I don't know... eeeeek! Tell everybody to read, read, read on Epic and Raz Kids!
LANGUAGE (1-1.5 hours):
Week 12 of Reading Comprehension - Day 2. Watch the videos attached to yesterday's lesson if you didn't already!
Read for at least 20 minutes via Raz Kids or Epic! to get those minutes to count for our reading party!
Wonder Novel Study - Listen to 15-20 minutes of the book daily.
FANBOYS - Run-on sentences - This week we will be focusing on run-on sentences and sentence fragments. You have the whole week to finish this, check out yesterday's post for the lessons to go with it!
Study Ladder - Thank you Gianna, Maranelo, Jayden, Ming Kee, Tiffany, and Aroush who logged in on Monday... where were the rest of you?!
MATH (1 hr):
Monday & Tuesday task: We are learning about Centuries and Decades - check out the slides from yesterday, and complete the worksheet!
Students should also practice one round on XtraMath if they haven’t already finished it all.
New tasks are provided on Prodigy to help practice today’s lesson. Please ensure your student is logging into Prodigy regularly to help them practice their math concepts. I only noted 11 students have logged on during the past 2 weeks.
SCIENCE (1 hr):
7 students still have not completed the Science Terminology Quizizz from last week!
Today we are talking about one of our last parts of this unit - endangered species and what we can do about it!
Check out my video lesson here: Video Lesson for Today!
After you are done watching the video lesson, pick one of the endangered species books from the digital classroom above and create an informational poster that covers this:
When you are done, you can take a picture to send to me or get your parents to scan the poster in for me.
I will also introduce our unit project: a diorama project during our Google Meets at 10 am on Tuesday. For those who are unable to make this meeting, I will be posting instructions on Google Classroom for them. They can complete this preferably over the next week, or over the break as well to share on Flipgrid!
