Homework
A lot of students have math homework to do.
A reminder: word problems: you need to show all your thinking. Show all the math work.
You need a sentence that answers the question asked. For each part. It must be related to the question. Again. Please look below for tips if you forget! I posted about it yesterday.

Math Homework
PG 159 #3-8
Remember to Show your work, answer in complete sentences and make sure your sentence matches the question. So if your questions asks you how many groups of apples you have.. don't answer a column.
Angela has 12 groups of 5 apples.
56 more dinosaurs are needed at the park.

Math Magic
I bet you some of your minds are spinning! Can you think of your own math magic trick? We can go show the 6B class that they taught us how to do it. Try them at home, see if you can get one and we can go blow the 6B's minds!
I loved hearing all the math questions and minds going as you walked out the door! Awesome work today :)

Words Their Way Instructions
Words Their Way
Every time you get a new set of words, this is what you need to do:
- GET your words and do your WRITE & SORT!
- Do not glue them in!
- Get them checked by Mrs. Jessie
- Highlight the word patterns (if there is a pattern – ask if you aren’t sure):
- Example: CVVC Boat or –eg patterns: beg, leg
- Write your words in complete sentences. If you do not know what the words mean – look in the dictionary!
- Put your words in ALPHABETIC ORDER – Ant, Antelope, Artist, Balloon, Beluga, Cotton
- Rainbow Write: Ant, Antelope
- Fancy Words: Ant, Antelope, Artist, Balloon
- Word Search: Go into your file and find the word search. Cut it out and glue into your Daily 5 book when you are done.
- NOW YOU CAN CUT OUT YOUR WORDS!
- Speed Sort – Use the iPad to race yourself, 3 times!
- Blind Sort/Partner Sort – Have somebody say the words to you, and you point to the right category.
